The Moogle Treasure Trove is a special Final Fantasy 14 event that allows players to collect hard-to-earn rewards from the nooks and crannies of the game through much easier means. Final Fantasy 14 tends to bring this event back before major patches release.

This run of the Moogle Treasure Trove begins Monday, July 25 and runs until Patch 6.2 launches at the end of August. Players may gather Irregular Tomestones of Verity by completing certain A Realm Reborn dungeons, the Frontlines PvP mode, the Omega or Ivalice raids from Stormblood, or the Weapon trials from Shadowbringers. Players should have just about a month to collect their favorite rewards.
This time the Moogle Treasure Trove in Final Fantasy 14 has some exceptional rewards available. In addition to the adorable new Demon Brick earring, players can get the gorilla mount Ulfiti Horn, Saintly Style haircut, or the Winsome Wallflower emote, all of which are normally only available from collecting Skybuilders Scrips from crafting in the Firmament in Ishgard. Players can also get rare minions like the Wind-up Elvaan, which is a rare drop from a fate in Eureka or from Stormblood minion loot boxes. These are only some of the many rewards players can get, allowing them to bypass grinding out more difficult or niche parts of the game.
The Moogle Treasure Trove event first began in the months leading up to the Shadowbringers expansion, and has run for nearly every other major content patch and expansion since then. Final Fantasy 14 even held a bonus Moogle Treasure Trove for its Fan Fest in 2021. Though it has no official set schedule, players can probably expect to see these events return roughly a month before each major piece of content.
Players usually enjoy the Moogle Treasure Trove events when they are held. The optional events entice players who have taken breaks to return in preparation for new patch content, and allow those who are leveling their jobs in Final Fantasy 14 to double dip and get special rewards while grinding. Since the Irregular Tomestone duties are also usually older, the event is also Final Fantasy 14’s clever way of ensuring new players can find groups to clear it, and that old content stays relevant.
Final Fantasy 14 is available now on PC, PS4, and PS5.
