The upcoming Endwalker patch is planned to release in late August. In addition to new Main Scenario Quests, dungeons, and endgame content, Final Fantasy 14’s new patch also adds the much-anticipated Island Sanctuary to the game. Patch 6.2 also brings new levels of gear and currency, which players can collect to become even stronger.

While the special site currently doesn’t have any new information on it quite yet, Final Fantasy 14 will update the site with new teasers, screenshots, and media as it becomes available. Players can expect the next Live Letter from the Producer–which will probably include a trailer and release date for the patch–within the first couple of weeks of August.
What truly has fans talking about the new special site is the key art revealed with it. Erichthonios and Themis–two characters from the Pandaemonium raid series–are depicted in the art, as an unmasked, Ancient depiction of Final Fantasy 14’s infamous Ascian, Lahabrea. The chilling art also teases a future villain–possibly one of Lahabrea’s other wardens or a twisted version of the Ascian himself–as well as a mysterious figure bathed in the light of the fortress’ doorway.
Many Final Fantasy 14 fans cannot wait to see what lies in store for them in Buried Memory. Lore fiends are having a field day speculating about the upcoming Main Scenario and Pandaemonium chapter, and tons of theories have already filled the web. Though the arc between Hydaelyn and Zodiark met its conclusion in Endwalker, the Ancients and Ascians are some of the most beloved parts of Final Fantasy 14, so many players are eager to crack open another tale about the doomed magi.
If Final Fantasy 14’s new patch was not enough to excite players, there are plenty of other things to look forward to. The Moonfire Faire summer event will likely begin sometime in August, with the Rising anniversary event following shortly after. Though it has been delayed until November, the North American Data Center will be getting a fourth logical data center in Final Fantasy 14 soon, with more worlds coming early next year. Fans can also expect Patch 6.3 to come sometime in late December or early January and can safely assume an announcement for Final Fantasy 14’s fifth expansion pack will come not long after.
Final Fantasy 14 is available now on PC, PS4, and PS5.
